Director Renjith and SuperStar Mohanlal share a good rapport and have worked previously for films like Ravanaprabhu, Loham, and Spirit etc. So the buzz created was huge when the combo joined together again for the movie “Drama”.
The shooting location of the movie was mainly in London. As per the industry reports the shooting for the movie has been completed and the makers are planning for an Onam release. If the movie is confirmed as Onam release then it will surely be an exciting news for all Mohanlal fans.
From a recent interview with Mohanlal, he said “Drama is not an ordinary film. It is something that has never been attempted in the Malayalam film industry so far and therefore would be a treat for his fans and film buffs”. We hear that “Drama”, is said be a family entertainer and would be flavored with humor and sentiments.
The film features Kaniha, Asha Sarath, Arundhathi Nag, Siddique, Tini Tom, Baiju, Shalin Zoya and Mythili in supporting roles. From the location stills disclosed, we can see 3 directors - Dileesh Pothen, Shyam Prasad, and Johny Antony with Mohanlal and Director Renjith. They might be playing pivotal roles in the movie.
Director Renjith initially planned to make a love drama named Oru Bilathikathan with Niranj and Anu Sithara playing the lead pair, while Mohanlal playing a cameo role in it. However, this project has been shelved after Mohanlal gave the go-ahead for Drama.
If the movie is confirmed as Onam release then it would be a real treat for all Movie lovers. In the meantime, Mohanlal’s "Neerali" movie is slated to release on July 12 making his first release on 2018. "Odiyan" movie slated for October release. Any way we can wait for new updates soon!!!!
