After success of Padmaavat, Deepika Padukone signed Vishal Bhardwaj’s film ‘Sapna Didi’ also Irrfan khan joined this biopic movie. According to the reports, Sapna Didi shooting will go on floor from March 2018 in Nepal. Producer Prernaa Arora of KriArj Ent said ,“Vishal sir is on the recce currently and the shooting for the film will kick-start on March 5 in Nepal.” The latest reports, Deepika play the role of the mafia queen Rahima Khan aka Sapna Didi in the movie and is an adaptation from Hussain Zaidi’a book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Prernaa said, “This film is not a biopic. Vishal sir is directing a fictional thriller that deals with the topic of revenge,” she said. Deepika said, “Of all the scripts I have heard in the last two years, I’ve been stuck on this one. He (Vishal Bhardwaj) brought this to me first, got me excited and then when I was ready to do it, he had moved on to something else. But, I persisted. It’s the one occasion where I pursued the director to make the film,” she said. Deepika and Irrfan have previously worked together in Piku. On working with Irrfan again, Deepika said, “He’s witty, smart and intelligent. I’m glad I’ll be bouncing my ideas off someone who’s a master at what he does. For an actor, that’s going to be challenging but also exciting.” Irrfan, a local gangster, will play her love interest, who would help Rahima Khan AKA Sapna Didi in her mission to kill Dawood Ibrahim. The film is produced under the banner of T-series and Kri Entertainment.
