Dulquer Salmaan will be playing the real-life character “Sukumara Kurup” an infamous murderer who is still absconding. The project is still in its initial stage. Dulquer Salmaan had announced through his FB post that “Sukumara Kurup” is his dream project.
Srinath Rajendran who directed the first movie of Dulquer Salmaan (Second Show), will be directing this project. According to recent reports, Dulquer Salmaan will be producing the project. Jithin K Jose and Jishnu Sreekumar have teamed up for the script work of the movie.
Sukumara Kurup is on the most-wanted culprit in police records. In 1984, Sukumara Kurup had murdered a person named Chacko and disguised as the murdered person to claim a huge insurance amount from the company Kurup worked in. He is still in disguise. Previously, many films where made based on Sukumara Kurup life incidents. In many movies, his name was even mentioned as well. But, according to reports, this project promises a different movie altogether about the life of Sukumara Kurup.
On the work front, Dulquer Salmaan is recently busy with a handful of movies in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu. His first Hindi Movie “Karwaan” is preparing to release on August 2018. His debut Telugu movie “Mahanati” has already become a blockbuster. His Tamil Movie "Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithal" will also be releasing soon.
As per the reports, shooting of the movie based on “Sukumara Kurup” will be commencing soon. Expecting new updates soon.
