2.0 movie, starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar is undoubtedly one of the most awaited movies this year. There were many speculations regarding the release day of the movie. Now we have got a confirmation from none other than the movie’s director Shankar.
Director Shankar, took to Twitter on Tuesday and wrote that, “Hi everyone. At last the VFX companies promised the final delivery date of the VFX shots. The movie will release on Nov 29th, 2018. #2Point0”.
So finally it is confirmed that movie will hit the silver screen on November 29, 2018.
The move is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. 2.0 is the sequel to the blockbuster Enthiran – The Robot which was released in 2010. The budget of the movie is reported to be more than Rs 400 crore, making it the costliest Indian film till date. The movie also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajon and Riyaz Khan. Music Department is handled by Oscar Award winner AR Rahman.
In the movie, Rajinikanth will be reprising the role of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti once again. Akshay Kumar will be playing the role of an evil scientist Dr. Richard. Amy Jackson plays the female lead in the movie.
