Nowadays, making a biopic of famous personalities have become a trend. The directors and actors are showing a special interest in making biopics. Now, a biopic is getting ready on legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan.
Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi has confirmed that he would be playing the role of Muthiah Muralitharan in the movie. The movie is tentatively titled as ‘800’ and will be directed by MS Sripathi. Dar Motion Pictures will be producing the movie in association with another leading South Indian production house. The makers are planning to make the movie in Tamil and will be released in several other languages. Actor Vijay Sethupathi stated that he feels proud to be part of Muttiah Muralitharan biopic and it’s really a challenging role to act. The actor further stated that he is looking forward to the project and thanked the makers for selecting him to play the legend spinners role.
The makers are planning to shot the movie across India, England, Srilanka and a couple of other countries. The movie revolves around the life of Muralitharan, who was unarguably one of the greatest spinners to have played the game of cricket. The legend is a Tamilian by birth, Murali was born and brought up in Sri Lanka. The movie is expected to hit the big screen only by late 2020. More details regarding the project are expected to revealed by the makers in the coming days.
