STORY

Vikram (Shabeer) breaks into the bungalow of Vinod (GR Aarvin) and ties Vinod with a chain and orders him to kill a girl child otherwise, his wife (Pavithra) will be killed. What is the relationship or enmity between Vikram and Vinod? The answer for this question forms the crux of the story.

REVIEW

Debutant Raghavendra Prasad directed 54321 in a fresh manner. There are some thrilling elements in the story which impress the audience. The story revolves around five people who have a connection between them through life circumstances planned in a house.

The story is described with a flashback for each of the leading characters but out of them, the ones for Vinoth’s love with Anjali and the one to establish the background of the thief, could be considered as mere inclusion to extend the running time for two hours, as they do not add anything to the main story which deals with the conflict between Vikram and Vinoth.

Shabeer was apt for the role of a smart, brawny psychopath killer. Aarvin and Pavithra also did well. Jayakumar as a thief, who accidently gets stuck in the bunglaw perform well with varied with emotions and expressions.

Cinematography by Banu Murugan is adequate. Editing by M.R. Rejeesh could have been better.
