STORY: Jakkanna revolves around the story of Ganesh (Sunil) alias Jakkanna who is known for helping people who helped him in the past. Jakkanna has no limits in this and he is ready to reach any heights. He gets helped by a mafia goon Bairaghi (Kabir Singh Duhan) after which Jakkanna goes in search for him to Vizag. During this time, he falls in love with Sahasra (Mannara Chopra) and the rest of the film is about the relation between Bairaghi and Jakkanna. Why did Bairaghi try to kill Jakkanna? How Ganesh solved all his problems and win his love with Sahasra. This forms the crux of the story.
REVIEW: Sunil performed well but failed to impress the audience. Mannara Chopra has been decent in her crisp role which had no scope to perform. Prudhvi, Sapthagiri, Prabhas Seenu, Raghu did their humorous part well.
The movie has nothing new to impress the audience. Sunil has done number of films with the same plot. The first half is ok but in the second half the movie fails miserably in all the available ways.
Screenplay could have been better. Dialogues are just ok. Cinematography done by C Ram Prasad is good. Music done by Dinesh fails to impress the audience. Editing by MR Varma could have been better.
Sunil excelled with his dance and performance but the routine narration along with predictable plot and unwanted comedy tracks makes the movie a below average fare.
