STORY
The movie is about pure affectionate relationship between grandmother and her little grandson. The story revolves around a man who returns to his homeland after running off from there at a very young age.

The movie is a complete family oriented movie. The story is based on a real incident that happened in the seventies. Olappeeppi depicts the story of an ordinary Malayali family and the changes in socio-economic scene in Kerala from 1970’s to the 2000’s.
A tale of friendship emerges in between, when we meet Jayan, childhood friend of Unni. Jayan's love for him, and small things he does for Unni, be it sharing his food or clothes, are timed right when your heart is filled with sorrow.
Biju Menon, Paris Laxmi acted very well. Sreejith Ravi has done his part really well. Grandmother’s love for her grandson are executed very neatly.
Director Krish Kymal, who is a renowned cinematographer has handled cinematography for the movie by him. Music by Anil Johnson is good.
Overall, Olappeeppi is a simple and story oriented movie that delivers a good message to us.
