REVIEW

The story is essentially based on the real life of Naval officer K M Nanavati, who in 1959, shot and killed his wife's lover. The subsequent trial was one of India's most sensational court cases.

This is the first time Akshay is appearing as a naval officer. He has delivered brilliant performance. As his wife, Ileana D'Cruz has done justice to her role and her scintillating moments with Akshay Kumar are among the highlights of the film.

Coming to the film, Rustom has a cracker of a beginning. Without wasting any time, the director comes straight to the point. He takes us quickly through the circumstances in which Rustom shoots Vikram and the trial begins.
Brilliant script, good songs and background score, amazing picturisation are the big attractions on the technical front.

While the first half of the movie is gripping, certain portions of the second half of "Rustom" might shift your eyes to your watch. The narration gets somewhat sloppy at certain points but the director manages to accelerate the pace soon again.
