Megastar Mammootty latest movie streetlight hit on theaters 26th January 2018. This film directed by Shamdat Sainudeen. The film leading star casts are Mammootty, Hareesh Perumanna, Dharmajan, Neena Kurup, Lijo Mol Jose, Soubin Shahir, Vishnu Unnikrishnan. The film will entertain and engage you with its narrative pattern and the strong performances.

Story

Mammootty stars as a police officer in a film with a realistic take on the life of people living on the streets. One of the storylines has three robbers stealing a Rs. 5 crore worth diamond chain from the house of a wealthy jewelry owner. Two of them from the gang are comical small-time thieves (Hareesh Perumanna and Dharmajan Bolghatty), while the third man (Stunt Silva) is a hardcore criminal. James (Mammootty), the cop who is the one investigating the case, decides to do it in an unofficial way as the chain belongs to his own uncle and it was bought out of unaccounted money. But, there is something more into this case.

Actors Performance

Mammootty looks really handsome in his casual dresses and colorful shades. As usual, Mammootty has delivered a wonderful performance. Dharmajan and Hareesh Perumanna play important roles in the movie and they are tries to tickle the funny bone. Soubin Shahir mimics his own style. The child artiste who played the role of Mani needs a pat on his back for a nice performance. Indeed an energetic performance from the master actor. Stunt Silva has done a fine job as Murugan, the gangster. Joy Mathew, Nandu, Neena Kurupp, Mottai Rajendran have handled their roles decently.

Technically

Director Shamdat makes a promising debut with Streetlights who gives a satisfactory thriller with enough elements of thrill and fun. Street Lights has its script penned by newcomer Fawaz Mohammed. The story of the film is quite simple. Adarsh Abraham has handled the music of the movie. Neha Iyer and Yakzen Gary Periera have worked on the BGM of the movie. Music and BGM are good with the tunes that suit the mood of the film perfectly. The cinematography department of the film has been handled by Sadat Sainudeen and he has done a splendid job by setting some brilliant frames. Editing by Manoj is good.

#StreetLights-surprisingly a pretty engaging thriller & way better than Mammootty's recent films. DOP Shamdat shows promise in his directorial debut. Nothing outstanding about the film, but makes for a pleasant watch at the cinemas.
