STORY

REVIEW

Biju Menon as the lead character Rini Iype  Mattummel has delivered an impressive performance. The humour and brilliant performances by Biju Menon and Hareesh Perumanna. Both have a good chemistry and it has been well utilized in the movie. Innocent, Ineya and Kanaran Harish did justice to their roles.

Director Jos Thomas has succeeded in packaging the product neatly. While the first half feels sluggish the second half manages to keep the audience without wasting time in redeeming the anti-hero. Writer Babu Janardhanan tried to weave out the story of a selfish man, but the screenplay not really works well to make it a cut above the rest.

Ratheesh Vega has composed two songs, which is sung by Vijay Yesudas and Najim Arshad. The song are good and enjoyable. Background score by Gopi Sunder is average.

Cinematography done by Manoj Pillai has nothing special to it. Biju Menon feels bogged down by expectations that this movie carried with a title similar to his successful Vellimoonga, released in 2014.

Overall, Swarnakaduva manages to stay away from the usual clichés we see in films which have characters with negative shades in the lead roles. The story moves with very natural and lighter way.
