STORY

Joppan (Mammootty) is a Kabaddi player and owns a Kabaddi team named Cheers. Being a talented Kabaddi player, he spoils his life because of alcohol consumption. His break-up with Annie (Andreah) made him an alcoholic. He meets a young girl named Maria (Mamtha) and from there begins some changes in his life. What happens next forms the crux of the story.

REVIEW

Mammootty who always excelled in achayan roles has again come up with the role of achayan in Thoppil Joppan. The movie also marks the comeback of filmmaker Johny Antony.

Produced by Noushad Alathur the movie features Mamtha Mohandas who played the role Maria, a medical student have delivered an energetic performance. Andreah Jeremiah also did a nice job.

Screenplay by Nishad Koya could have been better, but the sequences are good enough with some light comedies. Music by Vidyasagar is superb and the songs have entered the list of chartbusters. Cinematography by Sunoj Velayudhan has done a decent job. Editing done by Ranjan Abraham is good but some portions felt little laggy.

Overall, Thoppil Joppan is a complete family entertainer that keep you entertained throught.
